《沙城日報》（Sacto Daily）是一個專為美國加州沙加緬度（Sacramento）及周邊地區之華人社群而設的獨立新聞平台。我們致力以繁體中文撰寫高質素、本地化且具新聞價值之報導，為讀者提供一個可靠、免費、以及公正的資訊來源，推動言論自由，促進社區認識與凝聚。

我們的使命

在資訊流通受限與媒體寡頭壟斷的年代，《沙城日報》的核心使命是：

• 保障資訊自由（Freedom of Information）： 我們堅信，公民擁有獲取、查證及分享資訊的基本權利，尤其對於身處海外、語言環境不同的華人群體而言，尤為重要。We believe that every citizen has the fundamental right to access, verify, and share information, especially for Chinese communities living overseas and navigating different language environments.

• 賦權華人社群（Empowering the Chinese Community）： 透過深入報導本地新聞、法律制度、市政動向、社區活動及文化發展，幫助華人讀者了解所處環境、參與公共事務，增強集體話語權與社區凝聚力。
  Through in-depth reporting on local news, legal systems, civic affairs, community events, and cultural trends, we help Chinese readers understand their surroundings, engage in public life, and strengthen collective voice and cohesion.

• 促進跨文化理解與本地融合（Cross-cultural Understanding & Local Integration）： 我們相信，在語言、文化與法律體系皆異於原生地的環境中，華人社群更需要可信賴的資訊管道與文化參照。我們以清晰、專業的中文內容，引導讀者理解當地脈絡、增進跨文化對話，協助華人更順利地融入所在社會，同時保有自我身份認同。
  We believe that in a society with different languages, cultures, and legal systems, Chinese communities need trusted channels of information and cultural reference. Through clear and professional Chinese content, we promote local awareness, facilitate intercultural dialogue, and support integration without erasing identity.
